OMG… it has been a crazy week. after organizing 2 big events I felt that I was going to go crazy. Carlitos birthday party was last weekend and then I held a baby shower at my house on Saturday. that night I slept for 8 hours straight, which I hardly do. most nights i try to get at least 6 or 7, so those 8 hours felt great!!!!

Esta fue una semana loca y anduve súper ocupada. después de organizar dos eventos sentí que me estaba volviendo loca. La fiesta de carlitos fue el fin pasado y este fin organizamos un baby shower para una amiga en mi casa. el sábado en la noche dormí como piedra por 8 horas seguidas, cosa que casi nunca hago. la mayoría de las noches trato de dormir al menos 6 o 7 horas, entonces el sábado con las 8 que dormí me sentí súper descansada. 

anyhow, our life has been so busy lately. but at least we have a routine now from Monday to Thursday, and Carlitos is liking that because he knows what to expect. I tried to build a routine with them since Mateo was born but it was hard to get out of the house with a new born. now it is easier, his eating is more predictable so I have a little bit more room to plan for things. This is how our week works:

en fin, hemos andado super ocupados últimamente, pero felices! lo que me tiene mas tranquila es que ya tengo una rutina con los bebes de lunes a jueves y a Carlitos le esta gustando- Mateo se acopla- esta en la etapa de soy feliz en donde sea. desde que nació mateo queria establecer una rutina semanal con los niños. pero era súper difícil salir de la casa con un recién nacido. ahora es mas fácil ya que tiene un horario mas estable para comer y me deja planear algunas cosas. esto es lo hacemos en la semana:

Monday: Public library- bilingual reading time – tiempo de lectura en la biblioteca

Tuesday: Music class at Baby earth or playdate at a park- clase de musica o ida al parque

Wednesday: Thinkery- Austin’s children’s museum– museo del niño

Thursday: chick-fil-a-

Personally, I think that babies and toddlers thrive in routine environments because they like to be able to know what comes next. that makes them feel secure, and that is how we roll. I am enjoying the babies a lot. I really want to spend the whole summer with them and do as much as we can since I might be back to work by the end of the year. I just don’t want to miss a thing with them. Claro!!!!! sometimes I feel that i need to take a break from them and run to target, (que risa) get a chai and look for things that “I need.” but i love them… there is no other place where I rather be right now and I am thankful for that.

personalmente pienso que los bebes y niños son felices cuando les estableces rutinas ya que pueden predecir lo que viene y eso hace que se sientan seguros. la verdad los estoy disfrutando mucho. me gustaría pasar todo el verano con ellos y hacer lo mas que podamos ya que lo mas probable es que regrese a trabajar para finales de año y  quiero aprovechar lo mas que se pueda. Claro, no les voy a mentir, hay días en que necesito mi espacio lejos de ellos. corro a target por un chai y a buscar cosas “que necesito.” pero los amo y  no hay otro lugar en el que quisiera estar por ahora y agradezco a Dios por eso.
